Project to Find the Enslaved in Maryland Wills

We’re celebrating Juneteenth all month long with a project to identify enslaved people named in Maryland Wills, create FamilySearch profiles for them, and connect them as an Other Relationship (Enslavement) to the enslaver. This will help descendants looking for ancestors according to the enslaver surname, find them more easily. Just walk in during open hours any Wednesday this month to participate. Open hours are 10 AM - 2 PM, and 7-9 PM.
